Days of Joy in an UNWRA school
Members of the Palestine Trauma Centre Days of Joy programme wasted no time in getting back to what they do best during the recent temporary ceasefire in Gaza.
Members of the Days of Joy team visited the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNWRA) school near their homes to provide some fun and a distraction for the children and families now living within the school complex.
The team, donning full makeup undertook a number of play activities with the children that have been designed through the PTC (UK) Days of Joy programme to increase resilience and coping within young people.
Following the resumption of hostilities, it is not clear when it might be possible for the team to return to the school, or indeed to resume activities anywhere in Gaza.
Having lost our clinic building at the beginning of the war, the Palestine Trauma Centre (UK) now needs your help both to rebuild and to help members of our team get back to supporting the psychological needs of the young people of the Gaza strip.
If you are able to help us in this regard, please consider donating towards our emergency appeal.
Palestine Trauma Centre (UK) is a UK based charity that works to provide adults and children living within the Gaza strip with access to psychological support and mental health services.
Funds donated to our emergency appeal will be used to provide direct relief to the population of the Gaza strip, to support the reconstruction and restoration of our services within the Gaza strip or to provide staff training and remuneration to our team on the ground in Gaza.
Palestine Trauma Centre (UK) is a registered UK charity (1133560) with the Charities Commission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and is registered with the Fundraising Regulator.
